Sustainable & Ethical Corporate Gifts UK Every product verified against our 14 ethical criteria.
There is a growing gap between organisations that talk about sustainability and those that actually live it. The gifts you give — to your clients, your employees, your partners — are one of the most visible expressions of which kind of organisation you are.
At the ethical gift box, every product we source has been carefully assessed against our 14 ethical criteria before it reaches our range. Not because it is good for marketing — but because we believe it is the only responsible way to operate. We are a certified social enterprise, and sustainability is not a product category for us. It is the reason we exist.

Why most 'sustainable' corporate gifts are not what they claim
Greenwashing is rife in the corporate gifting industry. Products labelled 'eco-friendly' with no verifiable criteria behind the claim. Bamboo items that are neither sustainably sourced nor biodegradable in practice. Recycled packaging around entirely unethical products.
For organisations with genuine sustainability commitments — ESG targets, B Corp certification, net zero pledges — this is not a minor inconvenience. Choosing the wrong supplier undermines the very values you are trying to demonstrate.
We understand that concern because we share it. That is why we built the ethical gift box around a documented, transparent sourcing framework rather than a feel-good label.
Every product in our range meets one of our 14 ethical criteria. The criteria are published on every product page. You can verify them yourself.
Products with a provenance you can talk about
Ethical credentials are only meaningful when they are specific. Here are two examples from our range that illustrate what our sourcing standards look like in practice:
Neutral is one of Europe's leading ethical clothing brands, producing certified fair trade and organic cotton apparel under strict social and environmental standards. Their garments are made in factories that pay living wages, prohibit child labour, and operate under independently audited conditions.
When you co-brand a Neutral hoodie, polo or t-shirt with your organisation's logo, you are putting your name on something that has been made well — from the cotton field to the finished garment.
Circular & Co make reusable cups from a material that would otherwise go to landfill — single-use takeaway coffee cups. Each Circular & Co cup diverts waste from the waste stream and replaces a product that would typically be made from virgin plastic or bamboo.
It is exactly the kind of product story that resonates with employees and clients who care about sustainability — and gives your co-branded merchandise a talking point beyond just the logo.
Sustainable gifting and your ESG commitments
For organisations with formal ESG targets, sustainability reporting requirements or net zero commitments, every buying decision is an opportunity to demonstrate progress — or to contradict it.
Our ethical criteria map directly to common ESG reporting frameworks. Products that are carbon conscious, fair trade certified, recycled, or made by diverse-owned businesses can all contribute meaningfully to your organisation's social and environmental reporting.
We can help you choose products that align with your specific ESG priorities — and provide the supplier and product information you need to document those choices accurately.
Frequently asked questions
Every product is assessed against our 14 ethical criteria before it is added to our range. We review supplier certifications, production standards and sourcing information to verify each criterion. Where a supplier holds a recognised third-party certification — such as Fair Trade, Global Organic Textile Standard or B Corp — we use that as evidence. Where claims are self-reported, we review supporting documentation. The criteria met by each product are published transparently on every product page.
These terms are often used interchangeably but they mean different things. Eco-friendly typically refers to environmental impact — lower carbon, less waste, natural materials. Sustainable means produced in a way that can be maintained long-term without depleting resources. Ethical is broader — it includes environmental factors but also covers fair wages, worker rights, animal welfare and social impact. At the ethical gift box, our 14 criteria span all three dimensions.
Yes. If your organisation has specific ESG targets — for example a commitment to fair trade sourcing, plastic-free procurement, or supporting diverse-owned businesses — we can filter our range by the relevant criteria and help you build a gifting programme that contributes meaningfully to your reporting. Please get in touch and tell us what your priorities are.
Many are. Products from suppliers like Neutral carry Fair Trade and GOTS organic certification. Circular & Co products are independently verified as being made from recycled materials. B Corp certified suppliers in our range have met the independent B Corp assessment standard. Where third-party certification exists, it is listed on the product page. Where products meet our criteria through supplier documentation rather than certification, that is also noted.
Yes. the ethical gift box is a certified social enterprise. We are also working towards B Corp certification, which we expect to achieve in 2027 or 2028. Social enterprise certification means we operate to a defined social purpose and our business model reflects that commitment — it is not a marketing label.
Yes — co-branding is central to what we offer. All products in our range can be co-branded with your organisation's logo using the appropriate method for that product and material. Minimum orders start from just 10 pieces on many products. Ethical and co-branded are not mutually exclusive — in fact, putting your brand on a product with strong ethical credentials says something very specific and positive about your organisation.
We are happy to provide supplier documentation, certification details and product sourcing information to support procurement processes, supplier due diligence or ESG reporting requirements. Please get in touch with your specific requirements and we will provide what we can.
