This bold and beautiful wine bag flaunts a culturally rich design that is hand created by artisans in villages across Laos with colourful embroidery and pom pom embellishments.
Made by Oma women of Phongsaly Province, these elegant wine carriers are based on traditional tribal leg wraps.
The base fabric is indigo-dyed hand-spun, hand-woven cotton, and the vibrant applique and embroidery work is made from fabric and thread.
This will make a special gift for those who like to drink their wine in style.
Please note that as all motifs are hand-designed, each piece is completely unique and represents the individual artist's style and process.
Displaying a rich heritage and the exquisite artistry of local craftspeople, the TAEC Boutique proudly presents a stunning collection of original jewellery, accessories, clothing, and textiles made in Laos.
TAEC works closely with their artisans all across Laos following fair trade principles and offering a range of benefits and support.
Approximately 50% of their sales goes directly back to the village producers, who are mainly rural minority women.
TAEC is certified by Fair Trade Laos, and promotes livelihoods based on traditional skills.
